Keeping my teaching and planning organized always brought a sense of control and enabled me to shift focus from curriculum goals and teaching agenda to one-on-one interactions with students on a more meaningful and deeper level.
That allowed me to be present with the children and stay on top of the homeschool classroom organization. You can’t overestimate the power of having a functional system to plan your teaching process at home.
So I designed a Homeschool editable planner.
I can’t imagine running a successful homeschool program without a detailed and thorough plan in place. I see a great advantage in having lists of all resources, ideas, schedules, yearly, weekly and daily plans organized in one place. My weekly planner included a shopping list, goals, and space for you to include additional lists, like chores, weekly trips, etc.
I was looking for something that was pleasant to work with and functional. The best part is that you can customize it to fit your needs – use PowerPoint slides to add table columns and rows, change font style and color, and add or change table content according to your preference.
I believe it will be especially handy for those of us who are starting the new academic year in January. My planners include both options – Jan-Dec and August – July academic years.
The homeschool planner is in PowerPoint – editable and customizable. The PDF version is also included for those who prefer to print and handwrite all information without having to change the content.
Every December I am going to update homeschool calendars and add new styles, covers, planners, and lists. You are going to receive a FREE notification every year to the updated version. This way I will help you to save on having to purchase a new planner each year.
Each type of form is presented in an individual file to help you pick and choose what works best for you and your classroom.
Montessori and other quotes are included within the design.
You can also laminate the notes page and use it to write and wipe daily notes.
My favorite part is that the planners have separate infant, toddler, preschool, and lower elementary students daily and weekly plans based on Montessori scope and sequence.
I also included a two-page spread weekly plan with a page to write down your weekly recap, general observations, and reflections. I always used to prepare two 2-page spread plans with lessons planned for each child per day across the whole week. I would also have next week’s planner prepared where I used to write down a follow-up lesson. That way my individual lesson presentation plan was done one week in advance.
Here is what Weekly Planner for Individual Lesson Presentations looks like. Two additional pages are included with the weekly overview and weekly reflections. Print on both sides of the paper.
My Sanity List is a great reminder to nurture your body, mind, and soul in the midst of your busy schedule.
You have the option to choose from three different covers and spines. As I mentioned earlier, new styles will be added each year. This 250+ plage Homeschool planner is a perfect choice for Montessori homeschooling families, however, it can be used by all homeschoolers as it can be easily adjusted to fit your preferences.
Here is a small tip: When working on your planning – simply copy and paste parts of the curriculum you would like to address. I’ve included a link to Montessori Scope and Sequence in the GO-TO resource section of the planner.
Here is what Amratha – a homeschooling mum has to say:
The planner which you have provided me with is very invaluable for me and my daughter. I thank you immensely for the same.
Since my daughter is a two-year-old, I have been using the toddler weekly planner, observations form and will be implementing the preschool weekly plan in another month. The well – defined topics mentioned in the toddler weekly plan has been very useful for giving a well – rounded stimulation needed for her developmental stage in a given week. The editable nature of the planner makes it easier to customize them for individual needs and preferences. The planner has also helped me sort and prioritize the overwhelming amount of information on the web. The observations form has helped me gain an insight into the level of mastery she is gaining in performing the activity she chooses to do. Right now she is obsessed with puzzles and lacing things! I have provided her with your winter-themed lacing printable, which she enjoys 🙂
Since I am not good with a lot of sheets, hence I have taken a print out of the required sheets and have laminated them. I can use an erasable marker to jot down and make a permanent recording in a separate book for the purpose. This arrangement is easier for me. In short, the planner is invaluable for any homeschooling family, whether they are following Montessori or any other curriculum. Additionally, I loved the thoughts – these words truly save the day many a time 🙂
