Prepare the resource – cut and laminate label cards and action cards. Invite your students to choose emotions they would like to talk about and lay corresponding cards in a row. Invite them to take turns choosing one action at a time and match it to a particular emotion.
Encourage them to explain certain feelings if they feel to do so and suggest strategies on dealing with feelings that limit students’ positive activity.
Offer your students to cut their My Feelings Book, color and draw or write down what makes them feel nervous, mad, happy, scared. confused, embarrassed, shy, sad, proud, or silly.
